8/3/11 Hebrew year is 5771 As I'm sure all of you care so much about, on the extremely rare occasion I post here again, it'll be here now! Anyways, if for some reason you are reading this, I'm sure you're well aware that we now live in a time when tablets are no longer actual computers but are now just bigger iPod Touches, thus preempting everyone to complain about how, "Well, why should we use these if laptops are a gazillion times better?!" Very few of us remember the times when tablets were just as powerful, which has driven me to ask, "Well, why don't I have the best of both worlds?" Now, some of you who know me already realize that I'm under the impression that the Realease Shogo is like an old tablet yet a new one at the same time. & here is where I decide to explain why, granted I have no idea if anyone comes here, as previously stated. (Which makes it such a great place to avoid an argument. I'm such a chicken.) You see, the Realease Shogo is essentially made with 2 kinds of apps in mind: Qt apps, &, "nativized," HTML5 apps. Any Linux Qt app, provided it's compatible with the Angstrom distribution, (the Shogo OS' base,) should work with the Shogo. What criteria are those very same kinds of apps fall in? You guessed it, desktop apps, not mobile ones. The ones standard computers run, it's made for. & then of course comes the nativized HTML5 apps. For those who don't know what this is, HTML is essentially the very core of the web, of which stuff like Flash & Java pile on top of. HTML5 is a brand new version with 1 primary goal: make the core be able to do as much stuff as the addons. "Nativizing," them essentially makes them integrate with the OS itself. So, you've basically got web apps that act like local apps. (Which, whether you realize it or not, is very big right about now.) What's so great about this is that, if anything will, this probably has the best chance of taking care of the fact that newer tablets have specs that live up to the title, "bigger iPod Touches," thanks to what I like to call, "giving the same potential between devices." Think about it, let's say you've got a phone with not that much storage & a computer with lots of storage. Only, all their data is saved on lost of cloud storage. All of a sudden, the phone's low amount of storage doesn't matter that much. Tada! (Oh, & it lets you choose between WiFi, 3G, or Ethernet. Like a laptop.)
...Actually, Microsoft's one of the small groups of people that realize that greater tablets have gone away in favor of worse ones. The thing is, Windows 8 tablets pretty much have all of the previously mentioned ground covered. After all, they run a standard version of Windows, only 1 that is so directly trying to compete with the iPad & company that the OS is 100% made for these newer tablets. Plus, they also got the whole HTML5 apps thing down too. (Anyone here mention of Windows 8 in conjunction with the words, "HTML5," &, "JavaScript?") The only problem is... IT'S NOT OPEN SOURCE. There has to be something like this that is, right? Well, lemee tell you something. Every other article that mentions the Shogo says what might as well be THIS IS THE MOST FRICKIN' OPEN SOURCE THING IN THE UNIVERSE. Trust me, it's all they talk about. & well, you know, everything's better that way isn't it? :D & then, of course, there's all the added perks, like the built-in kickstand, the motion sensor, the light sensor, the ability to customize the hardware while ordering, etc.
So, maybe I'll show this to a few people, cuz frankly, I thought I needed to get this out of the way.
&, well of course, it only costs $500, although you have to promise you're developing an app for it. (Only $650 without the promise if you magically got Redstar working completely again.) But that's not that important.
Anyways, hopefully see y'all, MASTER260

This is Team Rocket's motto in my religion's language; Hebrew:
Hikonu lezarot! Kfulot umehupalot! Kdey lehagen al haolam meheres hasar takana! Kdey le'ahed et kol toshavey hamedina! Kdey lechbosh et hayabasha ha'avir vehamaim! Kdey lehagia gam af lakohavim shebashamaim! Jessie! James! Zevet Rocket bemhirut ha or lelo rahem! Hekana achshav o shetilahem! Meowth bediuk! Wobuffet! Chime, Chime!
This is the translation of what's shown above into Hebrew:
Prepare for trouble! Double & doubled! In order to protect the world from irrepairible destruction! In order to unite all the settlers of our nation! In order to capture the land, air, & sea! In order to reach also the stars in the sky! Jessie! James! Team Rocket at the speed of light without mercy! Surrender now or you fight! Meowth exactly! Wobuffet! Chime, Chime!
This is the English Team Rocket motto we've come to know & hate:
Prepare for trouble! Make it double! To protect the world from devastaion! To unite all peoples within our nation! To denounce the evils of truth & love! To extend our reach to the stars above! Jessie! James! Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light! Surrender now, or prepare to fight! Meowth, 'dats right! Wobuffet! Chime. Chime!
